I LOVE weddings that put their own “twist” on traditional events. One great example is the wedding exit or “send-off” – either from
the ceremony, or at the end of the night from the reception.
There are so many fun options that make for great memories and fabulous images!
What ever you choose – make sure you look as happy as you feel when you run ‘the gauntlet’!
Some great ideas for wedding exits include:
1. Sparklers!
Drama! Light! Sparkles! Try to get slow-burning, long (20″) wire sparklers. Be safe, though!
2. Bubbles!
No mess! Playful!
3. Birdseed
The classic is rice – but is not allowed at all venues, due to bird ingestion.
4. Silly string
Messy – but fun!
5. Ribbon send off
Tie ribbons to wooden dowel rods and have your guests wave them!
6. Flower/rose petals
Classic – you can use fresh or artificial petals – very romantic!
7. Getaway car – or bike!
Bonus points if it’s decorated!
8. Paper airplanes!
Potentially dangerous…but cute.
9. Streamers
Try self-propelled cracker kinds!
10. Butterflies/Balloons/confetti
Environmentally unfriendly, perhaps…but cute!
…What great exits have you seen?
