Baby Avrie | NEWBORN

Baby Avrie was easily the sweetest thing I had set my eyes/lenses on for quite a while. Only thirteen days old on the day of her first photoshoot, she was a quick learner and a natural model. She slept peacefully most of the time, sighing and making soft grunting noises occasionally, and only woke up when her father came home from work and joined her mother and me.

Her father too, was quick to catch on to what was expected of him – i.e., look absolutely, irrevocably, head-over-heels in love with his new daughter!

Who, coincidentally, was not a boy. 😉

Baby Avrie is lucky enough to be the new possessor of a very well-loved and well-worn teddy bear. Her grandfather cuddled it as a child, and then passed it on to his daughter. Avrie’s mother continued the sweet tradition, and passed it on to her firstborn.

They’re the same size!

What a sweetie – what a treat!

  • dawnAlly,
EXCELLENT work! I am utterly and completely impressed by all you’ve learned in such a short time. How do you get the black backdrop for that one photos with the feet in the heart and baby’s head in the hands? I was always curious about that. And are you using a macro lens for the up close shots? VERY good job. Remind me to call you when I have a baby. Heck, when I’m pregnant 🙂
