Raise your hand if you, or someone you know, tried to save on their wedding photography by having a family member, friend, or non-professional take their wedding photos.
I think most of us know someone like that – and I have heard way too many sad wedding photography stories from couples while photographing them for other occasions after their wedding day.
It’s tempting, and weddings can be SO expensive. The only thing is – does it matter what your dress looked like, or what colour the flowers were, or how fabulous your venue looked….if your photos are dark, or blurry, or any of the inumerable things that could go wrong? You only get that one day – and it’s too big of a day to take such a huge risk.
I learned this lesson myself – and it took me 2 years to collect enough snapshots from guests and fix the few photos that I had been given. Heartbreaking!
