Q: Why should I consider studio photography for my maternity session?
Done well, studio photography allows the photographer to sculpt with light in a way that is not possible outdoors in a grassy field. I love outdoor work, but in Langley, the rainy and cold weather from October through April means that scheduling outdoor sessions are hit and miss, and when hair and makeup artists are involved, a cancelled shoot affects more than one person. Studio sessions can be done at any time of day, as we aren’t dependent on the sun. This means that you can have an evening session if that works with your schedule, or a high noon session if that is even better. Flexibility is a big plus!
