Squamish Wedding Photographer | Christina + Peter

Christina and Peter were married on a hot August day, at one of the most unique venues ever – inside an old railway roundhouse! There were still massive trains inside! Needless to say, combined with two people madly in love, a wonderful wedding party, and adorable DIY details, this wedding was a BLAST!

Christina and Peter, thanks so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer!

Love me some cowboy boots!Christina wore a blue gemstone ring belonging to her mother (given to HER by Christina’s father when she was only 21!)Loved these bouts!Peter is a longtime volunteer firefighter in Squamish, and LOVES anything to do with the noble profession.Did I mention it was also his BIRTHDAY? Christina and Peter’s ceremony and reception were held in the Westcoast Railway Museum in Squamish, British Columbia.  The building is actually an old railway roundhouse (where the trains would drive in and be turned around), and there are still some FANTASTIC trains inside.

…like the old Royal Hudson – a BC legend! What a great backdrop for a wedding!

A mother’s tears are a precious thing.Christina and Peter’s family members took turns holding and blessing the wedding rings.High-five! Of course we took some pictures in front of the Royal Hudson…especially since it was broiling outside! So lovely.Outside the train sheds…Love this one. What a great group!Model face coming up…BOOM!Nothing says “Squamish!” quite like the Squamish Chief (mountain).Random dance party… 🙂Christina put a lot of thought into her reception details. I loved the vintage-burlap-doily goodness going on. Simple and sweet!Don’t be fooled – the Royal Hudson is HUGE! That wheel is as tall as I am!!Of course we had to take a picture or two with the antique firetruck that Christina rode on to the ceremony!

Peter always calls Christina his “winning ticket” – so scratch and wins were given as favours to the guests! The Faith and Desire band kept the dance floor rocking!Fire department, represent! The night ended with a rousing chorus of “Happy Birthday” to Peter! What a great night!
